Sick Pirate :(

I never knew that leaving the preschool and then coming back would be hazardous to my health. It is logical, of course. Being around all those kids built up my immune system. Being away from them made me more susceptible to germs. Now I am back with my immune system down, so bring on the sicknesses. In the first couple weeks it was just a little cold...a slight sore throat and runny nose. I hoped that would be the end of it. Looks like it wasn't. Last night I started feeling some pain in my throat when I swallowed. It got worse through the night, and today I feel pretty rotten. I'm fairly certain it is strep throat. In 2004, when I first started at the preschool, I got strep twice in 2 months. As a child I got it about once a year. I hadn't had it since 2004, and I was hoping that maybe I had seen the end of it. Sigh, I HATE strep. The only way to kill it is with drugs, so this means I'm probably going to have to go to the doctor. Did I ever mention that doctors terrify me? I'd rather face a room full of rottweilers (and if you know me, you know that I'm afraid of even the most harmless of dogs)than go to the doctor. Crazy? Perhaps, but aren't most fears a little crazy and irrational? So anyway, please pray that it will just be a sore throat that will clear up quickly on its own. Strep is a hassle I do not want to deal with right now.

/me brings Chad some soup, remembers she hates soup, and instead brings her chicken noodle soup, no soup, no noodles. I hope you feel better soon! I can't come visit you if I have to bring my own hazmat suit; I don't think it's on the TSA's list of approved items.
