Time For A Change

Life is change. Sometimes the changes are huge and scary. Sometimes they are fun and exciting. Sometimes they seem horrible, but turn out to be great. Sometimes they seem great and turn out to be dreadful. On Christmas morning, I made a change. It, like so many changes, was not one I would have chosen for myself, but that doesn't mean it won't be a good one. What might this change be? Well, if you haven't guessed from the pictures, I have become "a mac." My computer died a few months back, and my dad has been generous enough to let me use his old laptop. It wasn't great, but it was fine for a temporary fix. A new computer was in order though. I had asked for one for Christmas, and apparently my dad decided that it was time for me to make the switch. I have had some problems with it already, but overall I think I like it. I'm still learning. So many things are just slightly different, and it's hard to get used to it all. However, I think I will end up loving it. Let me say however, that if I EVER become a snob about my mac, please smack me around a bit with a large trout! Mac snobs are what made me so hesitant to make the switch in the first place.

Welcome to the club!! I know what you mean about adjusting to change (BOY do I know).. and I went through an adjustment period with my mac too... but I wouldn't go back now. And the funky thing is, you can always use bootcamp or vmware and whack windows on there if you need to anyhow... best of BOTH worlds. ;)
I hope you enjoy your laptop as much as I know I've come to enjoy mine.

*hugs atcha*

I want to be the second person to welcome you to the club! You're going to love it. It took a while to get used to but it's great. And I promise I am not being a mac snob ;)
