Job Front Update

For those of you who haven't already heard, that job interview did not go well. Let's just say that I would have been "on the clock" about 60 hours a week, and they looked at me like I was insane when I asked if I was allowed to go out in the evenings after work. I'm pretty sure they expected me to be in their home all day and night just in case they needed me. Sorry if it's too much to ask, but I kind of need to have my own life. I do have something else that I'm looking into right now. I'll post more about it after I know more.

Have they lived in Asia? That's what people expect here too... the live-in helper and/or nanny is expected to clean, cook, look after the kids, babysit and be at the beckon call of their 'employer'. I just don't understand it myself and when we get a maid... I sure won't be locking her away like that.
It sure doesn't sound like it would be a fun job.
I hope the other possibility opens up for you.
*fingers crossed*
