Reunited!

The computer is back at home now.  They ended up calling to tell me that they had found $900 more worth of damage on it.  The service guy wanted to know if I wanted them to go ahead and fix everything or just ship it back to me.  Apparently they can't just fix it in part.  It has to be signed off as Apple specified or something.  There was NO way on earth I was going to be paying over $1000 to get it fixed.  Good grief, for that I could have purchased a new lap top.  I was going to have them just ship it back to me, but the guy suddenly decided that they would just fix it all and wave all the fees including the original $310 they were charging for the initial problem.  I'm not sure why they did this, but I'm pretty sure they have won my loyalty.  I now have a computer in perfect condition at no cost to me.  I'm good with that.  It's good to have my old friend back, but honestly, I got so much more done while it was gone.  It's kind of amazing how much time I waste on this thing.   Speaking of...better go!  Lots to do before the family all arrives for Christmas.

I'm glad you got your computer back at no cost. If they had charged you I would have told you to go straight to Apple as the problem you had (and I have had subsequently) is covered free of charge globally even if you are not covered by the Apple Protection Plan.

I am also glad to see you blogging again. I just love to read your adventures and what you get up to with those incredibly crafty hands of yours. :)
