A Little Bit Lazy Saturday

For Christmas, D's parents got us year passes to a local children's science center.  The passes also included a nearby historical museum.  We decided that today would be a good day to check it out.  The coolest thing they have there is an old private train car that you can walk through.  It's pretty awesome. We had a good time exploring it.

After the museum, we stopped by the Flea Market for awhile, but we weren't very excited about it.

We decided to go back to D's house for a lunch of strawberries and fried ham and egg sandwiches on raisin cinnamon bagels.  While we ate, we watched The Phantom Tollbooth.  The book is one of my favorites.  The movies is pretty decent too but not as good as the book.  After the movie we played some games, and then went out and rode bikes.  N rode without training wheels finally! He did pretty well when he was going straight, but stopping ended in a scrapped up knee and tears.  Guess it's all part of the learning process.

Toward the later part of the afternoon, D and I began to get a little stir crazy.  We talked about going out for dinner, but didn't really want to spend the money.  We finally settled on fixing some popcorn shrimp and fish sticks with fresh green beans and sun dried tomato pesto pasta (do you care? Probably not, but I like to remember the details when I look back).  During dinner we watched the old cartoon version of The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe.

It ended up being a pretty lazy sort of day, but sometimes that is nice.  :)
