An Addition to the Family

After a very long car ride, we arrived home around 9:00 this morning. (I did get to watch At World's End on my ipod on the trip, so it wasn't totally boring. ;) Funny how that Will Turner just seems to make everything better.) Rilla Anne was awaiting our return this morning in her box by the front door. Clark and I were very happy to meet her. As you see in the picture, she is borrowing some of Clark's pjs for now. Eventually (when I get a job) I will get her some clothes of her own.

My poor carpet is still looking pretty nasty from the candle smoke. The rubbing alcohol helps, but it won't take it all up. I don't know what I'm going to do about it. Dad keeps saying that I may need to get new carpet. I really don't want to do that. I found this carpet as a remnant for such a good deal less than two years ago. I'm rather fond of it. Also, I obviously can't afford new carpet right now.

I'm watching Jane Eyre tonight. I'm sure it's a mistake to watch it so late at night. I'm so jumpy, and I know I'm going to have nightmares tonight about crazy attic women jumping out at me, (If you don't know what I'm talking about, you really should read the book or see one of the film versions...or both) but I'm enjoying it, so watch it I shall.
