Goodbye, Mr. Elephant

If you often view my blog, you may notice that the GOP elephant has vacated his spot. He will be greatly missed, but he informed me upon his arrival that he had only planned on visiting through the election. Goodbye, friend.

Last night history was made. America elected it's first black president. While I recognize the wonderful significance of this, I am unable to rejoice in it. I disagree with almost everything this man stands for, and I believe that America made a very unwise decision yesterday. I am tempted to fear for my country and the direction in which we are heading, but the Lord whispers to my heart that fear is not helpful. Therefore, I will instead go to my Savior and Deliverer and pray that our elected officials will turn to Him for wisdom and guidance.

The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases. Proverbs 21:1

I loved your last post. That was very encouraging for me cause I'm feeling the same frustration. /sigh. All we can do now is pray for our leaders.
